I'll never understand the fascination with making documentaries in Detroit's abandoned structures instead of fixing them up and maybe providing shelter to the homeless or something, but to each their own. Here's a video of a guy dirt-biking through the old Packard.

This video was filmed just before the plant was sold to a Peruvian developer, so trespassing on county-owned property might be a lesser offense than trespassing on private property. It wouldn't be the strangest thing to happen in the Packard, though.

As much as I want to dislike this, I must admit that these guys have balls — and biking on the roof of the aging structure kicked in my acrophobia. The plant's new owner did suggest he wanted a karting track on the premises. Maybe he has room for a bike course, too?
